Operting principle

On the lateral faces of the glass substrate are signal transmitters, which send ultrasonic waves (horizontal and vertical). This signal is reflected from the surface and detected on the oppisite side. By touching with a finger or another soft object a part of the waves is absorbed and the controller can define the position by mesuring the amplitudes.
